What happens during a Pupparazzi pet photography session?

Like many of Pupparazzi’s clients, you probably haven’t booked a pet photographer before so here are a few of our frequently asked questions about our Melbourne pet photography sessions:

What do we need to do to prepare for a pet photography session?

Once you make a booking will provide a few hints and tips which address issues such as treats and toys, energy levels and grooming and also gives you a better idea of what to expect on the day.

Where does the pet photography session take place?

It really depends on your pet. Many sessions will take place in the familiar surrounds of your home, however if your pet is not too easily distracted we can try for a picturesque location such as your local park or the beach.  Some of our favourite spots are in the Bayside areas of Brighton, Sandringham and Mordialloc.

What if we live out of the Melbourne metropolitan area?

We are more than willing to travel, however travel fees do apply for areas further than 20km from Cheltenham 3192. Fees are based on km and travel time. Sometimes we will have a few bookings in the one area and this makes it possible to keep the travel costs low, so if you do live in a country area please don’t hesiate to ask our availability.

What does the pet photography session include?

Our pet photography sessions include on-location shooting time, between 30 minutes and 90 minutes depending on the package you select.

Final images digitally enhanced and edited – a combination of colour or black and white images with a password protected slideshow to share with family and friends.

Depending on which package you choose, high resolution images are also available on disc – this is our most popular option, and great value too!

What equipment do you use?

We use professional news journalism standard Canon bodies and lenses. Feel free to ask if you would like specifics.

Do you use artificial lighting?

We do have a studio lighting setup however, with most pets we prefer to use natural light gives the images a more natural feel. The animals tend to lose interest easily so the less time spent messing around with equipment the more time we have to capture them doing interesting things. Shooting with natural light generally means shooting outdoors, however we can also shoot indoors as long as there is good natural light from sources such as large windows, sliding doors or skylights.

Can I buy a pet photography gift voucher?

YES! Gift vouchers are available in any amount from $150. A voucher can be bought as a gift, with the voucher sent directly to the recipient or can be sent to you to present on the special occasion.

We hope to have answered your question, but if you still have something you would like to know, then please feel free to get in touch with us either by phone or via the contact button at the top of the page.
